AI & Automation – Helping small FM radio stations reach new heights
Proud to have partner with Chris Castillo from officeservices.us To help educate the LPFM ( Light Power FM ) stations at this year’s Grassroots Radio Conference 2025, held here in Spokane and hosted by our very own KYRS Thin Air Community Radio . Witnessed many lightbulb moments in the crowd, as Chris enthusiastically explained how leveraging AI & automation helped his friends LPFM station WTLE 95.9fm Leesburg FL, rapidly get off the ground within a few months, at minimum cost. This one-man FM station is fully automated, yet the legal and logistical efforts would have been too much, without the aid of software. Chris was a master at making software, not intimidating and even fun!

It was great talking to attendees after the presentation and understating a few of their hesitations in adopting AI. From concerns over AI on the environment, which is valid, however these tools like email and txt are not going away; to helping guide some stations on how to approach AI – as an empowering assisting technology, not a substitute for volunteers or staff.
